Hello, everyone!

My name is Anna Lewis and I am the founder and crafter for Timeless Treasures of KY.

My family consists of my lovely husband, 2 girls, and our son. We live in Georgetown, Kentucky, where I planned to become a deaf and hard-of-hearing educator, but life had other plans…

A little about my journey… I was a young mom at the age of 16 while enrolled in an academically challenging High School/College program in North Carolina. I graduated from High School and College in 2013 with an Associate of Arts degree, walking across the stage with my daughter wearing high academic honor ropes and sashes. My daughter and I later moved to Kentucky with nothing where I found a full time job and re-enrolled in college at Eastern Kentucky University. I would start my day at 4am driving her to school, drive to my full-time job, 45 minutes to school, then back to pick her up and home around midnight. Long work nights have never been anything new to me. On my days off, I could find myself tinkering and crafting on anything I could get my hands on. My favorite items were craft kits from the Dollar Tree considering that’s just about all this broke, single momma could afford. We made it work and made the best out of everything we could.

Fast forward a few years, I met my now husband Erik and he has always supported the wild and crazy ideas of mine. We married in March, 2017 with a simple courthouse wedding then came home to veg out on pizza and Game of Thrones that evening. We welcomed our little girl in November that year and I remember struggling as a new momma all over again. I was still in school but due to medical issues from pregnancy, I had to quit my full-time job and focused on school and being a full-time momma. I later graduated with my Bachelor’s degree with Magna Cum Laude honors. I wanted a keepsake piece to commemorate this long and hard journey as a mom fighting to survive, but when I started researching Breastmilk Jewelry, it was too expensive, and I felt a sense of dread.

In 2018 I started making DNA keepsake jewelry with the mindset of keeping things affordable and accessible for people everywhere. I also wanted to take it one step further and give back to the community in any way that I could. I fell in love with the creative and personal aspect of this art, and Timeless Treasures of KY was born. Over the years, there have been trials and tribulations, but with the support of my family and the wonderful community we have built, barriers were broken.

Over the years, I have wanted to quit and give in to the easier route. I have cried from frustration and the many sleepless nights. The path I have walked was long and hard, but I am blessed with three beautiful children, a loving husband, and now a community supporting me, and I wouldn’t change a single thing.
